■ LOCATION: Holland / Alphen a/d Rijn. We'll meet in the morning at a car park and bus-stop location. (You can come by car or by bus.) From there we have about 7 different spots nearby where we can paint the cows.
■ MATERIALS: Bring your outdoor painting gear (You'll be advised with recommended materials.)

What's Included?
• We start the day with a 20-min. demo to get you inspired! Then after you and a small group start painting the view. I'll walk around to give tips, pointers, and I'll be painting alongside.
• The personal guidance is the most powerful ingredient as this is an in-person class. Direct help, direct & kind feedback for your process.
• Beginner & Advanced painters are welcome in this outdoor painting class. You'll gain confidence & practical solutions in painting Cows & the Landscape. You'll bring home great results to be proud of.
• You can paint in oils or in acrylics
I demonstrate in oils. A recommended materials-list is included.
• I'll teach in English & in Dutch

■ How to handle Details, using Significant Details

■ How to use the Knife & Brush in this, how to keep the 'Looseness' in and how to get a Harmonious end-result

Equipment Info
• You can bring your own gear & materials. After joining this course you'll receive a list of items I usually bring.
• I have the Mabef 23 Picolo easel, I think this one is the best in getting all gear steady, palette at table height (and weather proof too with an umbrella attached to it for example.) If you have another easel that is very fine!
And if you're looking for one, why not try to get the Mabef 23 second hand, it's cheaper that way.
This is the easel that I travel with too.
What About Rain?
• The class will also continue in rain. The umbrella keeps the canvas dry, so, when you're using oil paint, you can continue painting. Sometimes, due to rain, the cows will lay still. Sometimes, with rain, coming, going, the skies are amazing, and the ditch colors get interestingly dark...sparks of light peeking through, all in all, I don't fear grey weather and perhaps neither should you. Beauty is there regardless. And the cows will be there too!
Route Info (& Hotel Info)
• After joining this course you'll receive the location where we'll meet and how to get there by car or by public transport (bus/taxi), it's 7 minutes away from Alphen a/d Rijn. Hotel info will be made available for you if you are coming from the UK, EU or US so you can plan your trip.
(The cost for this class does not include hotel arrangements, etc.)
• Na deelname ontvang je de lokatie waar we alle 3 dagen samenkomen in de ochtend. Ik neem aan dat de Nederlandse kunstenaars met de auto of bus komen en dat jullie geen gebruik maken van een hotel, maar dat zou natuurlijk altijd kunnen.
