EASY ACCESS
We'll be painting at a relative cosy beach, pretty too, there's no hiking involved: park your car and walk up the beach. Easy access, easy when bringing your gear.
BEST VIEWS
The time suites the heat and or humidity, and we'll have (I think) great views, changing weather is welcome, bright colors in the morning, cloud formations too.
ST. PETE
There are lots of places where you can stay in St. Pete. When you fly in, it's an easy drive, 30 minutes from Tampa airport. It was a lot of figuring out, but I think we did find the best ingredients here!
PAINT A LOT!
We'll be painting so much! And we'll have great results!
If you need to produce many paintings for an exhibit, or other, this is a great opportunity. You can sell your results from this paint-out/class (of course), because they're yours.
You could also join both groups to double the results.

I'll be painting in oils, and I recommend this for outdoor painting.
You can paint in the materials you are used to, and/or bring oils.

After you've joined you get an email with the exact painting location so you can find many accommodations nearby. St. Pete is at a 35 minute drive from Tampa airport.
FOR BEGINNER & ADVANCED OUTDOOR PAINTERS
This 'paint-out' and 'class' is suited for both beginners as advanced painters. Just like my classes in the Netherlands, I'll start each class with a 20-minute demo, and you'll start painting. I adjust my sharing/teaching to what you need. I'll share tips and show ways as I go round in the group, I will also paint alongside.
You can join as a total novice to outdoor painting. It's a good reason to start.

What about rain?
I'm not afraid of rain, because in Holland there's always a chance of rain. The umbrella is part of our gear.
We can keep the canvas dry. And before you know it we'll see the sun again!If there is a really bad morning or bad afternoon, where it rains non-stop, we might be able to find a different spot and roof, so we can continue painting.

Hurricanes?
Yes, we can never see into the future, so we'll count on our blessings.
I think we'll have great skies, pretty sunsets, sunny days and yes, also rain, but the hurricanes might come later that month. Not when we're there!

Not included in this price: Materials, easel, food, travel, B&B, personal expenditures or other costs. Roos Schuring cannot be held accountable for any expected or unexpected costs, accidents or injuries of any kind, to you or to any third parties. You'll arrange your travels, housing, food and equipment. The info emails and videos will advise you on equipment and methods. General Refund Policy: Might there be a reason for you to not be able to join after all, you'll be given the option to join the next beach or cows class. Maybe you are traveling and due to a lockdown or anything else this is not for you: then you'll receive a coupon that you can use for online course products, video demos and other painting products that I offer. Due to the past lockdowns I decided to no longer offer monetary (cash) refunds in these cases, as we cannot rely on future currencies or future travel and country restrictions, to be on the safe side, this is my way forward in this. Florida - St. Pete August Classes '25 Refund Policy: If this class cannot be given due to extreme weather that is happening (when flights are cancelled) Then you'll get a 50% monetary refund and 50% refund in kind: for this you can choose the online Summer Seascapes class, or any other online video products that I offer. And/Or join another in-person class for the next year. When the weather is fine and you cancel because of personal circumstances the 50% monetary and 50% in kind refund applies until 3 weeks before start date. Light and Weather
I found that 'risk' can be a great ingredient for absolute stunning paintings.
Clouds that roll in...
A threatening purple sky...
Rainbows...
Similar to unexpected sunsets, will the clouds go, or stay? And rays of light are your result, unexpected beautiful situations.Sure, sometimes it doesn't all fit, and you take a loss. Whether you cannot finish a painting, or it was just so glorious, you froze.
The most important thing: you lean into it. You show up. You try. You expect good things!
